our story
maya was conceptualised in 2023 and founded in 2024 by the beach
(yes, we feel that's an important part of our origin story).

our drive behind maya is simple and straightforward: make quality mental health care more accessible to more people.
mallika:
"bringing about a systemic change to the mental health landscape in India is something i care about deeply - specifically in challenging the dominant, medical model and 'problem-based' discourse that is present widely. and in doing so, establishing a bold and different perspective to how therapy works."
ksheetij:
"i believe there’s a massive void in India for therapy seekers craving top-notch care and providers yearning for the right support system to deliver it.
our goal? a future where mental health is as important as physical health, and everyone receives the support they deserve, through a synchronised system and a model that works for all."
